There is a strong sense of connection across the School at this time of year, with many opportunities for our community to come together in support of one another and the generations of girls who will follow. Through fundraising, service and shared events, we continue to strengthen the spirit of Wilderness together.

Our focus has been on ensuring every little girl feels connected to her peers, comfortable with her educators and at ease in her surroundings. These are the foundations upon which everything else is built, because without warmth, belonging and trust, learning cannot truly flourish.

From standing in Parliament House to witnessing a live High Court case, our Year 6 girls experienced Australian democracy in action during their recent Canberra tour. The journey was both educational and deeply meaningful, strengthening their understanding of citizenship, leadership and service.

Our students continue to demonstrate excellence across a wide range of pursuits, including academic competitions, music, cultural learning and sport. These experiences reflect the curiosity, resilience and commitment that are so valued within our community.

This term has already provided many opportunities for students to contribute meaningfully to school life through leadership, service and achievement. As they continue to grow in independence and responsibility, our girls are shaping the culture and spirit of the Senior School with care and integrity.

Term 2 has begun with energy and connection in the Boarding House, as girls returned refreshed and ready for the term ahead. From family dinners and Cross Country to preparations for National Boarding Week, there has already been much to celebrate together.

Children enjoyed a wide range of engaging excursions and incursions throughout the April holidays, supporting creativity, wellbeing and community connection. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, the program encouraged exploration, collaboration and joyful learning.
