Situated 5 minutes from the Central Business District of Adelaide, there are direct public bus routes to the School.

Wilderness also provides four dedicated buses to pick up and drop off girls from designated bus stops in the Adelaide Hills, eastern, northern, western and southern suburbs. This service is available to all girls from Year 5 onwards, unless accompanied by an older sister.

The Wilderness Café supplies fresh and tasty lunch box treats of a high quality at reasonable prices for both our Senior and Junior School girls.

The Wilderness Café is staffed by a team of highly qualified, internationally trained chefs who endeavour to make both ethical and nutritional food choices. When it comes to sourcing raw products, we only use South Australian milk, South Australian free-range eggs and all Australian pork products. We use packaging that is biodegradable, made from plants not oil, and is naturally BPA free.

We are conscious of highly processed foods and make almost everything from scratch daily. This includes all cookies, slices, cakes, hot foods and salads. We offer a full selection of espresso machine coffees, made to order with Fair Trade beans and fresh organic milk.

The Wilderness Café is open from 7.30am to 11.00am, then 1.00pm to 3.00pm Monday to Friday for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. We warmly welcome parents to pop in for a coffee after school drop off and enjoy a catch up with friends.

Parents can place orders for their daughter using our cashless Flexischools system.

The Wilderness School Uniform Shop provides families with all their uniform needs.

Located in the Development Office at 42 Hawkers Road, Medindie, our Uniform Shop Manager, together with a team of dedicated volunteers from within the School community, can assist with enquiries for both new and secondhand uniforms.

Special Opening Hours:

The Uniform Shop is open on the first Saturday in Terms 1 and 2 from 9.00am to 12.00pm noon. This is in addition to other key times published on the Parent Portal.

New students

All new students are invited to make an appointment for a uniform fitting in late October or November in the year prior to commencing school. Bookings are available from September upon receiving a booking code.

After School Care at Wilderness School is offered by Camp Australia.

Camp Australia are committed to providing our students with a safe environment in which they can explore and play.

The Outside School Hours Care program at Wilderness School provides time for homework, time to relax, educational activities and a healthy snack. Best of all, the program makes time for ‘kids to be kids’ - to play and explore, share with friends and enjoy their precious school years.

Hours of operation

After School Care operates between 3.30pm to 6.00pm, with a segregated program for Early Learning to Year 4 students and Year 5 students and above. On arrival, students are provided with a healthy, nutritious snack and refreshing drink.

Registration

All families who wish to use After School Care are required to complete a Camp Australia Registration prior to their child attending the service.

The following types of bookings are available:

Permanent Booking: These bookings carry over each week until notification of a change to the booking is received by Camp Australia. These must be weekly bookings for the duration of the term.

Casual Booking: These bookings need to be made by 5:00pm of the day prior to care. This ensures that they have the appropriate staffing ratios and resources in line with national standards.

Emergency/On the Day Booking: Despite everyone’s best efforts things can crop up! To help families manage this, Camp Australia do their best to be accommodating, although a position cannot be guaranteed at this late stage.
