This term has provided many opportunities for our girls to engage with ideas that reach beyond their day-to-day learning and explore the role they can play in shaping the future.

There is a strong sense of connection across the School at this time of year, with many opportunities for our community to come together in support of one another and the generations of girls who will follow. Through fundraising, service and shared events, we continue to strengthen the spirit of Wilderness together.

More than 3,000 people gathered at the Adelaide Convention Centre for the International Women’s Day breakfast last Friday to hear from Australian of the Year 2026, Katherine Bennell-Pegg.

The first few weeks of term have carried a familiar sense of energy and possibility. New routines are forming, friendships are being rekindled, and across the campus there is a quiet sense of purpose as our girls step into the year ahead.

As we reach the end of another successful year at Wilderness, I want to thank our students, staff and families for the energy, commitment and positivity you bring to our community.

The start of Term 4 is always both eventful and deeply meaningful. In just the first three weeks, our community has gathered for occasions across the School, from Grandfriends’ Day in the Junior School to Year 12 celebrations and Old Scholar reunions.

Term 3 has been full and rewarding, with a wide range of cultural, sporting, and academic experiences. In recent weeks, students and staff have taken part in activities that reflect the strong engagement, curiosity, and collaborative spirit that characterise learning at Wilderness.

As we commence Term 3, there is much to acknowledge and celebrate at Wilderness, the opening of state-of-the-art facilities, the appointment of new staff who bring valuable expertise and renewed energy to our community, significant advancements in strategically aligned curriculum development, and the continued accomplishments of our students.

Term 2 has provided the Wilderness School community with many poignant opportunities to reflect and engage deeply with our past and future.
