Academic rigour is not about making learning harder for its own sake, but about setting challenges that encourage students to stretch, grow and discover what they are capable of. By holding expectations high while providing the right support, we help girls develop the confidence, resilience and self-belief to rise to what is asked of them.

Joy is woven through everyday life in the ELC, from new friendships and familiar play to shared stories, family connections and moments of discovery. These small but meaningful experiences show us when a child feels safe, known and connected, making joy a visible expression of belonging.

From hearing Australian astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg share the persistence behind her remarkable journey to a renewed focus on routines, manners and expectations, Junior School students are being encouraged to embrace the habits that help them thrive. Clear, consistent boundaries create the space for girls to focus their energy on learning and connection.

Middle School students have enjoyed a busy week of academic, co-curricular and community activities, with achievements celebrated across mathematics, music, public speaking and the 2026 SA ICGS Student Event. The community is also invited to support an important student-led fundraiser for Type 1 diabetes research.

Senior School students have embraced a fortnight of leadership and connection, highlighted by the Year 11 Retreat and Year 12 Friendship Night. With course counselling and 2027 SRC nominations ahead, students are being encouraged to reflect on their strengths, aspirations and the positive contribution they can make to the School community.

The Boarding House has enjoyed a busy and productive start to Term 3, with the girls returning to their routines and reconnecting as a community. From Year 12 trial examinations and winter activities to preparations for the Boarders’ Fashion Parade and a visit to Sheepvention, there has been plenty happening both within and beyond the School.

Our July Vacation Care program was filled with adventure, from TreeClimb and go-karting to cooking, STEM activities and escape room challenges. Thank you to all our families who joined us for a fun and memorable holiday break.
