There are many opportunities to experience our togetherness. Through our vibrant, global and generational relationships and various special interest groups, strong links with the School community are nurtured and our volunteers’ input and collaboration are valued.

Parents and Friends

Our Parents and Friends Association plays a vital role in strengthening intergenerational friendships, building upon Wilderness’ strong community spirit and bringing together parents, staff and friends of the School.

All parents with a daughter at Wilderness are welcomed as members of our community.

Strong and enduring friendships underpin our parents’ commitment to walking alongside and supporting each other through the years.

Our enthusiastic Parents and Friends Association sponsors and/or hosts various functions throughout the year including parent socials, coffee mornings, class gatherings and our Raising Amazing Girls program. They also volunteer at School events and student performances.

There are many opportunities to volunteer or join a committee that supports each family’s lifestyle and interests. Volunteering provides the opportunity to meet other parents and make a meaningful contribution to the life and fabric of the School.

We welcome the support of all parents. Please contact the School for more information on ways to be involved.

Old Scholars

The Wilderness Old Scholars' Association is a global network of over 6,000 vibrant members.

Spanning decades and including several centenarians, our old scholars represent a diversity of exceptional personal and professional experiences. Meet some of our old scholars here.

If you are an old scholar, we invite you to connect with the Wilderness Old Scholars community. There are so many ways to get involved.

We highly value our old scholars for their ongoing mentorship, leadership, friendship and support.

Friends of Music

We welcome parents of daughters who are involved in the Music Program at Wilderness to join the Friends of Music Committee.

In partnership with the Music Department, the Committee’s support contributes to the promotion, growth and development of our musical community.

The Friends of Music Committee assists with performance setup and pack down, serving food and beverages and the annual Music Dinner. The dinner provides an opportunity to raise funds for Middle and Senior School Speech Night Prizes and celebrates the musical achievements of students and staff.

Wilderness Rowing Club

The Wilderness Rowing Club Parents and Friends Committee is an integral part of the rowing community at Wilderness School.

Responsible for fundraising initiatives in support of our rowing fleet, the Committee champions and promotes the profile of rowing in our community. Volunteers assist with the coordination of rowing camps and regattas and provide ongoing support to our rowers and coaches throughout the year.

Wilderness Lacrosse Club

The Wilderness Lacrosse Club Committee is made up of parents of past and present lacrosse players.

Members endeavour to provide the best possible avenues for players to achieve success at local, national and global levels.

Our lacrosse community also extends to include old scholars who continue to play under the Wilderness banner. Together they support each other in pursuit of excellence, enjoyment and fair play.

Coaching, social functions and fundraising for equipment form the basis of their work and they welcome members of our community with an interest in contributing to these efforts.
