Generative AI has the potential to support learning, but when it removes the effort of thinking altogether, it can also remove the very challenge through which learning occurs. By teaching girls to think first and use AI with discernment, we help them develop the critical thinking and confidence to stay with difficult problems and do the intellectual work that allows their minds to grow.

Science Week and Book Week brought curiosity and creativity to the ELC, with the girls exploring experiments, stories and shared experiences across the School. These opportunities helped deepen their learning while strengthening their connection to the wider Wilderness community.

From the imagination and joy of Book Week to the adventure of Year 5 camp at Crawford, the Junior School has embraced opportunities to learn, explore and grow. Both experiences reflect our aspiration for girls to become curious, courageous and capable young women.

From outstanding performances and creative achievements to meaningful service-learning experiences, Middle School students have embraced a wide range of opportunities this term. Across Drama, Music, writing, history and community service, the girls continue to demonstrate creativity, curiosity and a willingness to contribute.

The past few weeks of Term 3 have been rich, with interschool events, winter sport and SRC elections. Intercol was once again a highlight, bringing with it a wonderful sense of school spirit and collegiality. As students look towards the remainder of the year and 2027, there is a strong focus on balance, responsibility and making purposeful choices.

Term 3 has been filled with opportunities for our boarders to connect and contribute as part of both the Boarding House and wider School community. From the Boarders’ Fashion Parade and Intercol to regional connections and the announcement of our 2027 Boarding House Captains, the term has reflected the strong sense of belonging that defines boarding at Wilderness.

Bookings are now open for the October School Holidays, with a range of activities planned for girls and their siblings. Families can also find key OSHC closure dates for the Christmas and New Year period.
