The boarding house has had a very busy Term 2 and it is hard to believe that we have arrived at the halfway point. The girls are very excited that they have reached this point and that it is time for the upcoming exeat, where they have the opportunity to head home and recharge the batteries for the final three weeks of term.

We ended National Boarding Week with our much-anticipated moonlight cinema, unfortunately the weather gods were not on our side and rain forced us indoors. That said, the girls thoroughly enjoyed bedding down in Hender Hall with girls from Pembroke and Loreto joining us for our viewing of Legally Blonde. The food stalls were well utilised and it was great to see the girls enjoying connecting and forming some new friendships.

We have had a number of entertaining activities this term. A group of girls attended the Adelaide Crows vs West Coast game and most very much enjoyed the scoreline! Our international students enjoyed lunch out and an escape room challenge which they will have to return to, to fully escape! We have had pizza making onsite, and our junior boarders enjoyed a night of bowling and arcade games organised by PAC. There is more to look forward to, with both ice skating and an Op-Shop shopping trip planned, before the end of term. Activities are such an important part of the boarding program and are vital in fostering a sense of community for our boarders.

Planning is well underway for the annual Boarders Fashion Parade, with girls volunteering for numerous roles, with modelling the gorgeous fashions being the top one! As always, this event is raising valuable funds for the Bhadaure School in Nepal, with whom we have a very close relationship. It is an important event in both the School and boarding calendar and we are looking forward to another fantastic parade again this year. We have many fashion labels keen to take part and both the silent and live auctions will be full of exciting items to tempt our hip pockets! We would love to see as many family and friends as possible. Watch out on Verus for the link to purchase tickets, either individually or with a group.

It is hard to believe we are almost at the mid-point of the year, time has flown by so quickly, but we have much to look forward to in the coming weeks, prior to the holiday break.
