Year 12 Graduate of Medicine/Dentistry Multiple Mini-Interviews (MMI) Practice
It was a privilege to have attended Wilderness as the Class of 2019. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to be accepted in to study a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide. This would not have been possible without the support of my teachers and old scholars throughout my journey as a boarder at Wildy. The insight that I gained into the medical field, as well as the support and guidance in sitting the UCAT and interviews from medical students, enabled me to feel confident and empowered to pursue my goal of Medicine.
This year once again, along with old scholars Ishani Sood (2021), Reema Madike (2019) and Dr Caroline De Sousa (1992), I was able to provide support to the aspiring medical students in preparation for their MMI interviews. The Zoom sessions coordinated by Ms Caroline Palmer provided the girls with an opportunity to practise and develop their skills for the online interview process now required by many universities offering these courses in Australia. This experience is highly valuable for the students and allows medical students who previously attended Wildy to reconnect and give back to a community which gave so much to them. I look forward to assisting in future years and encourage others to do the same.
