I hope that all Middle School families have had an opportunity to rest and relax over the summer holidays and that your daughters are ready for the challenges of a new academic year. I would like to particularly welcome new families to our community.

Below I have summarised some important information for the beginning of the year. Further information can be found for students and families in the front pages of the school diary.

Absences

Please notify the School of any absences using SEQTA Engage by 9.00am. This is crucial to ensure the safety of all students.

Homework Timetables

Girls in the Middle School are provided with a homework timetable and they should do a maximum of 20 minutes for each of the subjects they have assigned that day. Girls are encouraged to discuss any flexibility they require around their other commitments with their teachers.

Year 7 Homework Timetable

Year 8 Homework Timetable

Year 9 Homework Timetable

Mobile Phone and Smart Watch Policy

Middle School students should not bring phones or smart watches to school unless their parents seek written permission from me. Phones and smart watches must be kept in their lockers at all times throughout the day. If a girl is found using a phone or smart watch during the day, they will be confiscated for a period of time to be determined by their Head of School.

NAPLAN

Years 7 and 9 students will undertake NAPLAN testing in March this year. Information about the testing will be made available on SEQTA Engage for families to read soon.
