Reception ‘Go Wild’ Excursion
On Friday, November 8th, the Reception Girls had our ‘Go Wild’ excursion to Glenthorne National Park. We had a fantastic day listening to stories under the trees, going for a walk around the National Park and learning all about the indigenous names for birds that lived at Glenthorne.
We also made bush potions and stews and had fun in the huge adventure park. We even played in enormous, metal gumnuts!
Thank you to Ms. Mitchell, Miss Holli and Miss Lilly for a wonderful day of Adventurous Learning!
Year 3 Camp to Aldinga
“We went to Aldinga we did so many things and one of them was walking through the scrub. We saw kangaroos!”
" The food was delicious! We had burgers, ice-cream, spaghetti bolognese and apple crumble"
“At the beach we collected items from a list and then made sandcastles using what we had found.”
“On camp we cooked barramundi in clay. When we ate it, some people ate the eyeball!”
“We went for a bush walk with an indigenous man named Trent. We learnt a lot about trees, plants and bush tucker.”
“We painted boomerangs with aboriginal symbols on them. Ms Mitchell read us dreamtime stories”.
“We did journaling in our magic spots. We had to be solo, silent and still. It was relaxing and calm.”
“Trent showed us some traditional aboriginal artefacts. He also played the didgeridoo for us and made fire using sticks”.
“We were lucky to have Mrs Mitchell, Holli and Rob come to camp wih us. We woke to Holli and Rob singing both mornings. They called themselves the choir of angels!
“On the way back, we listened to music on the bus – we were rocking out!”
“On the last day of camp, we got to go to the playground and have lunch from the bakery”.
Year 3 Visit PAC Buddies
“Once we got to PAC the boys sang a song for us. Everyone was laughing because they sang - Wildy we like you!”
They invited us to join in to sing with them. A lot of us sang with the boys, it was very fun.”
“We got to do an art attack with pumpkins and origami.”
“At recess, we played on the playground with our buddies. There was table tennis and other sports”.
