Fashion Parade

The Boarders' Fashion Parade held earlier this term attracted a large and generous crowd. Again, this year I am pleased to share that we successfully raised $9,725 through the event. This annual event allows us to maintain our commitment to the ongoing support of Nepalese boarders who attend the Wilderness Bahadure Boarding House. Pictured below, you can see a snapshot of the girls who will benefit from our fundraising efforts this year.

Parliament House Visit

I had the pleasure of joining the Year 12 Student Representative Council and Mrs Stephanie Andrews to represent Wilderness School at Parliament House as guests of Mr David Basham, Member for Finniss. The girls thoroughly enjoyed visiting Parliament, learning about its function and hearing firsthand the stories Mr Basham had to share, including his journey into politics. We are most grateful for David and Kate Basham’s generosity in hosting this event for our Student Representative Council.

Pottery and Laser Tag

A few weeks ago, a small group of Middle School boarders invited a day girl to join them for a night of laser tag activities. Thanks to boarding staff member, Jina Chen for joining the girls on this night out.

Following the exeat, Jina accompanied several girls to Urth Studio on Saturday to attend a pottery workshop. The eight girls who attended enjoyed learning more about working with clay and created several of their own beautiful creations. It was an appropriate rainy day activity for the girls on a wet Saturday afternoon.
