On Thursday 24 June, Wilderness School will hold a Giving Day, What a Difference a Day Makes, to open a doorway to a brand new future through a crowd-funded scholarship. Our community will unite behind a life-changing opportunity that will be offered to a girl who would otherwise be unable to attend a school like ours.

Every little bit of support will count, as each donation on this day alone will be doubled through the generosity of matching donors. As well as financial support, we are seeking supporters to join our ‘Operations Room’ to reach out to our community on the day with phone calls explaining the importance of this scholarship and how to contribute.

The Operations Room will be a vibrant hub of activity as teams of volunteers share in the success of the Giving Day and help make an enormous difference to someone who would otherwise be unable to access the amazing benefits of a Wilderness education.

We would like to ask you to consider volunteering for a two-hour shift on Thursday 24 June between 9.00am and 9.00pm. All you need to do is turn up mentally prepared to seek donations. This will not be cold calling; everyone you ring should already be familiar with the Giving Day. Call scripts, phone numbers and ongoing support will be provided in the Operations Room, as well as snacks and drinks. Above all, we want you to have fun and be yourself!
