While it was quiet in the Boarding House over the long weekend, our international girls enjoyed getting together for an activity with our staff members Vivian and Jina. Together, they celebrated the recent Dragon Boat Festival by making traditional Zongzi and playing Mahjong—a traditional Chinese board game. Given how they have not returned to their families for two and a half years, days like these are particularly special for our international girls. I'm grateful to Vivian and Jina for the support they offer our international students and for the time they dedicated to these activities over the weekend.
Putting Learning into Practice
Our senior girls have been focusing on exam preparation and completing assignments as we approach the last week of term. Similarly, our younger boarders have been completing end of semester tasks and moving through revision of their learning during prep time. This week, our Year 10s have shifted gears slightly for Work Experience Week, with girls joining workplaces across Adelaide and regional areas. With a wide variety of work placements ready for our Year 10 girls, we are looking forward to hearing about what they have learned through their firsthand experience!

Jazz at The Gov
Year 12 boarder, Tori Lane entertained those gathered at The Gov in her feature item as a part of the School’s Jazz at The Gov show. Tori, along with many budding Wildy musicians, collaborated with visiting musician Adam Page for a night of wonderful entertainment. A group of Year 12 boarders attended the event to support Tori and appreciate the talents of our school’s amazing musicians.
