State Team Selections

Last week we received some exciting news that Arabella Bahr (Year 10), Isabella Beaumont (Year 8), Molly Dwyer (Year 10) and Caitlin Hardin (Year 8) have been selected for the South Australian State Teams for their respective sports.

Arabella and Isabella have been selected for the 12 to 19 Years Swimming team after outstanding individual performances at the South Australian State Championships and SSSSA carnivals earlier this year. Both girls will compete for South Australia from Friday 19 August to Tuesday 23 August in Brisbane, Queensland.

Molly has been heavily involved in Hockey development and high-performance programs. Following three weeks of trials, she has earned her spot in the 16 Years and Under State Team to compete in Hobart, Tasmania from Saturday 30 July to Saturday 6 August.

Caitlin began the Australian Football trialling process with more than 100 girls nominated for consideration. Following three rounds of cuts, Caitlin was selected for the 15 Years and Under State Team to compete in Lavington, New South Wales from Saturday 23 July to Saturday 30 July.

Congratulations to our girls on these deserving selections and we wish you the best of luck for your upcoming events.

SAPSASA Hockey and Netball

Recently, several of our girls in Years 5 and 6 have participated in trials for the District Hockey and Netball teams to compete in the SAPSASA State Carnivals.

The trialling process is quite significant, often involving an internal school trial followed by weeks of District trials against the top players from local schools. It is the first time many of our girls are exposed to this type of rigorous selection process and we are very proud of how our girls have conducted themselves in this process.

We are delighted to share that two of our Hockey players and five of our Netball players were selected to compete for the North Adelaide District in the Metro Carnivals this week.

Imogen MacLeod (Year 5) and Sacha Feeny (Year 6) competed in the Metro Hockey Carnival at the Grange Reserve from Wednesday to Friday this week.

Amelie Abayaratna (Year 5), Eloise Callus (Year 5), Hazel Newman (Year 5), Linah Kafagy (Year 6) and Matilda Burns (Year 6) competed in the Metro Netball Carnival at Priceline Stadium from Wednesday to Friday this week.

We look forward to sharing their results soon.

Middle and Senior Table Standings

Now that the IGSSA season is well underway, premiership tables are updated and published each Wednesday to reflect the current standings. To view the tables, please refer to the news section of the IGSSA website.

For our Lacrosse team, the tables and results can be viewed in the 'Fixtures and Results' section of the Lacrosse SA website.

Good luck to all our girls competing in their final rounds of sport tonight and tomorrow morning for Term 2. I am wishing you a restful break and encourage you to ensure your daughter’s Term 4 Sport nominations have been competed in Clipboard before the Saturday 27 August deadline.
