Throughout the year we rely on the ongoing support of our community groups who give so generously of their time and contribute tremendously to our School culture.
Our annual Quiz Night last Friday was a great success thanks to the combined efforts of the Parents and Friends and Wilderness Old Scholars Associations. Led by Jen Guest and Danielle White, the organisers worked for over six months to create this remarkable event. Thanks also to all the generous donors and auction bidders. Through the support of everyone involved, over $30,000 was raised to go right back into enhancing our communities even further – an incredible result.
The Mother’s Day Classic which took place last Sunday was another stand-out event, again thanks to Jen Guest and the Parents and Friends Association. We had many runners and walkers join us at the Torrens River, raising awareness of, and money for, Breast Cancer Research. Thank you to all those who joined us for this annual tradition.
On Monday 20 May we will celebrate a very special Founder’s Day – our milestone 140th anniversary – with a whole School assembly where we will reflect on our heritage and future of exceptional education. It is a privilege to see our legacy of innovation, tradition and values live on in everything we do, and continue to inform our future.
Commemorative badges are being presented to every student to signify how much we value the individual contributions of each of our girls.
We have record numbers of old scholars joining us for Founder’s Day this year, a testament our thriving community extending well beyond school and stretching across generations and across the globe.
These events are invaluable in bringing us together and are integral to our ability to continue thriving for many generations to come.
Thank you to all those who have already generously donated to our Annual Appeal, 140 Days to Make a Difference. Your help is making real impact by supporting a life-changing scholarship or outstanding learning spaces. Through your generosity, you are transforming the future. Reminders
A reminder that parent jumpers are now available for purchase via Flexischools. There are two designs available for purchase. Wearing your jumper is a great way to support the community and show your Wilderness pride.
Grey Quarter Zip Jumper = $90
Wildy Blue Crew = $85
Finally, an important reminder about parking. To help keep everyone safe and to extend our respect to our neighbours, we remind parents that parking across resident driveways and in no-standing zones is not permitted. We understand that before and after school is busy, please allow all the time needed to conduct drop-offs and pick-ups safely.
Kind regards,
Belinda Arnfield
