Guest Speakers on Architecture/Design

On Tuesday 31 May, Rosina Di Maria, Woods Bagot Principal and Adelaide Studio Chair (and mum to Wilderness girls Aurelia and Eugenia), and Aurelio Berlingeri, Architect, visited Wilderness to present to girls aspiring to work in Architecture and Interior Design. They shared their pathways from high school to their current positions.

Although her work has taken her all over the world, Rosina emphasised how important it is to stay true to yourself, remember where you came from and hold firm to your core values. Both designers argued against the common misconception that there are no jobs at the end of an architectural degree, insisting instead that studios look for passion in their employees, which can create pathways otherwise obscured by the large industry.

On behalf of the girls who attended, I would like to say a huge thanks to Rosina and Aurelio for taking the time to inform us of the various exciting options available and encouraging us to consider a career in the design field.
