It was wonderful to see our Middle School girls walk through the Wilderness gates on Wednesday.

I am very thankful for our talented staff who ensured the girls received high-quality, engaging lessons online during the State’s seven-day lockdown.

I would like to say how grateful I am to the Middle School girls for their resilience, hard work and positive approach to remote learning from the outset and for the support of our Wilderness families.

Our girls were able to participate in some amazing learning during the lockdown. It was wonderful to hear about their experience in their art lessons.

For their first online lesson, the Year 8 Art students undertook the 'Between Art and Quarantine' challenge, a global initiative by the Getty Museum.

“The museum’s vision is to use digital media to uplift, to inspire, and to create community through art.
“The girls rose to the challenge and had a lot of fun as they recreated famous artworks with the things they had at home.” Jo Porrovecchio, Art Teacher

We are very pleased that face-to-face learning can now resume, and the girls are back in their classrooms to continue their learning.

We look forward to what Term 3 hopefully has in store including the Year 8 Camp and the Year 9 REALISE Camp later in the term.
