Exeat Weekend
Our Middle and Senior School Swimming Carnival was finally held last Tuesday at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre, following two delays in Term 1 this year. Despite the challenges, it was a wonderful day to celebrate house spirit and showcase some of our outstanding Wilderness swimmers following their successes in the interschool competitions earlier this year.
Once again, this year our carnival did not have heats prior, allowing girls to maximise their participation in both competitive and novelty events on the day. If girls did not want to swim or were unable to, they were still able to help out and contribute House points by signing up as student helpers to assist with running our carnival.
Congratulations to Cedar House for winning the Caufield Shield for a sixth straight year!

Winter Intercol
Next week, we hold our Intercol week of sport against Seymour College. This year, the tally is currently standing at 3-4 in Seymour’s favour. This is the closest Intercol competition in years and we wish all our girls the best for their upcoming matches.
All girls will have received an email from our Sports Captain, Sachi Syme (Year 12), to reserve their seat on our supporters’ buses. We encourage all girls to get behind your friends and drown out the Seymour support! The house with the most supporters throughout the week will receive a prize of donuts!
Please see a list of our Trophy Fixtures, with each team playing for the respective trophy and contributing to the overall tally. Please see a list of all our Intercol Fixtures.
U15 Lacrosse Finals and Achievements
Congratulations to our U15 Wilderness team who currently sit third on the ladder as the team looks to cement their place in the Lacrosse SA Finals Series. Coach (and old scholar) Ilia Cross says she is pleased with the team's progress, particularly given this year was expected to be a year of rebuilding for Wilderness Lacrosse.
A large contingent of players from Wilderness is also preparing to travel to Perth in September for the U15 National Lacrosse Tournament following their selection in the South Australian Comets and Lightning teams. Congratulations to Isabel Jackson (Year 9), Lucia Andrae (Year 9), Layla Woodall (Year 9), Lily Silvestri (Year 9), Diya Anup Kumar (Year 9), Layla Balestrin (Year 8), Katarina Czechowicz (Year 8), Chloe Arblaster (Year 9), Jessica Felstead (Year 8, reserve) and Rowan Parsons (Year 8, reserve) and best wishes as you prepare to take on the best U15 players in the country!
A big congratulations must go to U15 Lacrosse player Izzy Jackson on scoring her 100th goal for the season in Saturday's game against North Adelaide. This remarkable milestone is unprecedented in Wilderness Lacrosse history. Not only is Isabel a prolific goal scorer, she is also a strong presence at the centre draw, working alongside midfielders Lucia Andrae and Layla Woodall to form a fierce midfield unit.
We wish our incredible U15 team well as they prepare to take on the Finals Series and look forward to following your progress.
