Jackson V Jackson – Adelaide Fringe 2021
The popular Fringe show of Jackson V Jackson finished their impressive 22 show run on Sunday. It was fabulous to see Wildy represented so highly in this show, with staff, students, old scholars and even parents performing together – well done to all involved.
Stage 2 Music Report
Our Stage 2 Solo Performance students have been working hard on their repertoire for their first assessment taking place in Week 10. They were lucky enough to be visited by Mrs Margaret Lambert, a past accompanist at Wilderness.
Margaret shared some valuable advice in a masterclass with our girls and accompanied Year 11 student Isabelle Yu on the cello as she presented ‘Elegie’ by Faure. We wish the girls all the best next week in their performances.

Multi Media – Media Team
This year the Media Team has continued to expand and grow, with it now boasting over 60 student members. Its goals are and always have been for students to explore their technical skills and creative abilities through the art of film making. This year with so many girls involved, we have introduced some new initiatives, and Chelsea Kennedy, the Media Team leader, will discuss these in her article.
We look forward to sharing the films we create with you throughout the year, and we hope you enjoy them!

Wilderness Swimming Carnival
My name is Chelsea Kennedy, and as the Media and Magazine Representative for 2021, I would like to see all girls have the opportunity to express their ever-expanding views of the world on film. The Media Team is responsible for capturing and presenting school-based events and showcasing our wonderful school to the Wilderness Community. A new initiative in 2021 for the Media Team is to encourage its members to explore the more creative sides of film. This initiative will involve not only filming and editing but also exploring other areas of visual media, such as photography, directing, animation and more. Furthermore, I plan to also introduce a program for our Junior School members to learn more about photography and film. Implementing these types of programs for the School's younger members will allow them to learn more about media and hopefully encourage more girls to be involved in Multimedia once they enter Middle School.
Here is a little taste of some of the films the Media Team produce. We hope you enjoy the Swimming Carnival film, and thanks to all the Media Team girls who made it happen.
