Exchange Update
This term several students have enjoyed living and learning overseas on exchange, immersing themselves in the life and culture of their host schools and families.

At the start of Term 2, Sophie Rocca spent time boarding and making lifelong friendships at Appleby College, Ontario, Canada. Zara Hill boarded at Bridge House School, Cape Town, South Africa with Gilda Fonti who she hosted in Term 1.

Currently Isabelle Weng is being hosted by Jun Yoda at Yakumo Academy, Tokyo, Japan. We will welcome Jun to Wilderness in Term 3. Ella Meyer is attending Landheim Ammersee School, near Munich, Germany, and is being hosted by Paula Meyer who lived with Ella and her family in Term 1.

In Term 3, current Year 9 students will be able to apply for the 2025 exchange program. Approximately 5 students will be selected to go on exchange.

Round Square Regional Conference
A group of 4 Year 8 students spent this last week of Term 2 in Rockhampton Qld, with students from New Zealand, India, Malaysia, Japan and Australia. They participated in a range of activities including snorkeling, boom netting, canoeing, hiking, water sports and revegetation.

International Tours
The School offers a range of international tour opportunities for the students. This year we have been fortunate to have 2 international tours going ahead.

Last April saw a successful return to Nepal, with 32 students and 5 staff trekking and visiting the Bhadure school and community. Please see the article in the previous LITW for more information about their amazing experiences.

The Music Tour to Italy and Switzerland is about to depart. 23 students and 3 staff will be spending 2 weeks performing, attending concerts and music festivals and sightseeing. We wish them a safe and successful trip and are looking forward to hearing about their amazing experiences when they return.
