We understand that moving from the teachers and educators you know, trust and love, into a new class with new teachers and friends can be both challenging and emotional – and this is just for you as parents! Our children certainly experience these emotions as well, so we make sure to take great care with our transitions at Wilderness School.

Transitions in our ELC include information sessions for parents, and formal and informal sessions for our girls in their new environments with their new educators.

For the girls moving into Reception, a great deal of time and care is given to creating new Reception groups and it is always done with every little girl’s best interest at heart. Teachers work collaboratively and with the support of many professionals in our School to ensure that the best plans are in place for this transition. Clear plans, goals and learning is also shared between teachers as the girls move from one House to another.

Having said that, no one knows your daughter better than you do, so if you have questions, concerns, or information that you wish to share to ensure that this transition is the very best for your daughter, please contact us.

Finally, from one parent to another, we know this next phase is a big change, but we are here for you too as you take this step with your daughters. There will be many more to come but we are all in this together!
