As we approach International Women’s Day (IWD) on Monday 8 March 2021, the Wilderness School community will continue its long history of celebrating and acknowledging the successes and achievements of women in our local, national and global community.

Over the last two weeks our Mamie girls have been invited to bring in three very precious items that fit inside a designated ‘All About Me’ bag.

Our Year 2 girls shared an outstanding item at our Junior School assembly last Thursday, sharing with us how to make a sentence more interesting by adding descriptive language.

Learning to lead is integral to a Wilderness education, preparing girls for full participation as responsible citizens in an increasingly globalised society.

It was wonderful to attend the annual Middle and Senior Swimming Carnival at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre last Friday.

This year, Friday 12 February, marked the Chinese New Year. As the most significant celebration in Chinese culture, this festival is traditionally celebrated with a strong emphasis on family.

The Middle and Senior School Swimming Carnival was held last Friday 19 February at the South Australian Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Yueshi Huo (Year 8) and Victoria Phan (Year 9) have been awarded places in the ‘5th Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards’.
