Our Year 2 girls shared an outstanding item at our Junior School assembly last Thursday, sharing with us how to make a sentence more interesting by adding descriptive language. The girls spoke confidently and with excellent expression and certainly gave the Junior School a concise and detailed grammar lesson!
It is always wonderful to see our girls thrive and rise to the challenge when given the opportunity to develop their skills in public speaking. At Wilderness, we truly believe in ensuring that this learning entitlement becomes a norm for every girl. In doing so, even our littlest of girls are empowered to find their voices, share their opinions and speak with confidence.
Year 3 Artemis
Our Year 3 students have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the new subject "Artemis" this term.
Starting the program learning about the different selves, they have begun focusing on their "inner" self.
After this, students began by thinking about their future selves and how they picture themselves as successful women. They loved discussing future career possibilities and what they wish to achieve when they become adults.
We look forward to continuing to investigate their inner selves by learning about fixed and growth mindsets.
Class Representatives
We are pleased to have so many ELC and Junior School parents nominate to be Class Representatives, however, we are still looking for parents to nominate for Year 6. If this is something that you would like to do, please email April Ridgway, Director of Communications and Marketing. The full list of names for 2021 can be found here.
Save the Date
Year 4 Class Representatives Cleo and Preeya are hitting the ground running with our first event for 2021. They will be sending invitations to parents using the Year 4 Class Contact list found on the Parent Portal. Details can also be viewed below:
