It is with great pleasure that I announce that Yueshi Huo (Year 8) and Victoria Phan (Year 9) have been awarded places in the ‘5th Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards’.
This international music competition received an overwhelming number of entries from across the globe, and it is a very high honour that these students have been recognised.
Both girls are students of Ms Urszula Gruszewski, who is one of our piano tutors at Wilderness.
Victoria received a Gold placing, as well as an award for Best Russian Music.
This was in addition to Victoria also receiving the Grade 7 AMEB Piano Prize for outstanding achievement.
Together, Yueshi and Victoria received a Gold placing in the separate “Duo”/Four Hands” category.
Both girls have been invited to play in a gala performance in Singapore in April. However, due to COVID-19, they will not be attending in 2021.
