University of New England (UNE) – Early Entry
Established in the 1930s by the University of Sydney, UNE is the oldest university in Australia outside of a capital city, located in Armidale, halfway between Sydney and Brisbane.
UNE Early Entry is open to all Year 12 applicants and relies solely on a school assessment of student attributes and abilities to determine their suitability for entry. Rather than using their ATAR, the assessment is based around the student’s ability to work and learn independently, as well as their overall potential for academic success at UNE.
Students will receive their offer directly from UNE in November after choosing up to three course preferences in the free online application. A UNE Direct Early Entry application does not exclude students from applying through UAC or to any other university but offers a valuable guarantee of a university place. Click here to learn more or watch their Armidale Campus tour.
